Eamonn is an Associate Researcher supporting technical and policy analysis within the Heavy-duty Vehicles program. Eamonn has a Ph.D. in transportation energy modelling from University College Cork (Ireland), and acted as a visiting researcher to UC Davis under a Fulbright scholarship as part of this program. Eamonn has worked in the past with the International Energy Agency on freight modelling and conducted a long-term global mitigation analysis for trucks. More recently, he worked with the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre, adding transport modelling capacity to their European energy systems model, and has also worked on quantifying the impacts of climate change on the European transport sector.
