Gonzalo García Miaja is a research consultant at the ICCT supporting clean fuel, vehicle policy, and other strategies to improve the environmental and energy performance of the transportation fleet in Mexico and Latin America. Before joining the ICCT, Gonzalo worked as deputy manager of new technologies and emissions reduction for the Mexico City BRT system Metrobús and as a consultant for the CCAC & INECC developing and assessing scenarios to reduce SLCPs. Gonzalo holds a Ph.D. in Applied Physics from the Universidade de Vigo (Spain), a M.S. in Chemistry from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM), and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering also at UNAM. Gonzalo was certified in 2019 as a Project Management Professional (PMP) by the Project Management Institute (PMI).
