Transatlantic Transportation Decarbonization Summit 2022
Focus on Light-duty and Heavy-duty vehicles
Monday, August 29 to Thursday, September 1 | Warrenton, Virginia, United States
The Transatlantic Transportation Decarbonization Summit will bring together leaders from government, industry, and civil society to accelerate one crucial response to the climate crisis: the electrification of all on-road vehicles.
Two global research organizations, the International Council on Clean Transportation and Agora Verkehrswende, advised by representatives from the governments of California, Canada, the European Commission, Germany, the United Kingdom, and the United States, have come together to host the conference. Each of these governments is actively developing policies that will set the pace and shape the transition from internal combustion to electric vehicles.
The EV transition also involves stakeholders from auto companies, labor unions, equity advocates, state, provincial, and local governments, and the electric power and financial sectors. The summit will bring these stakeholders together to build a common understanding and foster concerted action through both structured and informal conversation.
