Report

Advanced Technology Development to Meet California's Climate Goals

Presents a comprehensive view of California’s need to accelerate the development and deployment of advanced technology that will stimulate the state’s transition to a clean energy economy and achieve the greenhouse gas reductions required under AB 32, California’s pioneering climate change legislation. It ranks the frequency and severity of 18 different types of barriers to these advanced technologies for greenhouse gas reductions, and identifies 27 specific strategies for California to overcome these barriers. The report’s multisector approach to achieving greenhouse reductions and air quality improvements covers a broad spectrum of technologies, presenting specific policy action items for the energy efficiency, renewable energy and clean transportation sectors.
