President/CEO Drew Kodjak announces departure after 20 years leading the International Council on Clean Transportation (ICCT)
After two decades at the helm of the International Council on Clean Transportation (ICCT), President/CEO Drew Kodjak has announced that he will step down at the end of this year.
Kodjak’s decision follows a period of personal and professional reflection, as he plans to take a pause in 2026 to think about future opportunities.
Under Kodjak’s leadership, the ICCT has grown in the last 20 years to a organization with more than 190 employees in six offices worldwide. Indeed, he leaves the ICCT as the leading global nonprofit research organization focusing on decarbonizing the transportation sector.
“The ICCT is in a strong position, and I have every confidence that new leadership can bring fresh perspectives and energy to guide the organization into its next phase of growth and impact,” reflects Kodjak. “This is a moment of opportunity, and I’m excited for what lies ahead—for both me and the ICCT.”
While his formal departure date is set for the end of 2025, he will continue working with the ICCT to ensure continuity and a smooth transition in leadership at the ICCT.
“Leading the ICCT has been the greatest honor of my professional life. The shared mission and impact we’ve made together inspires me every day,” concluded Kodjak.
