Electrifying global road transport with less mining: Policy insights for the EU and U.S.

The transition to electric vehicles (EVs) is driving a surge in demand for batteries and the raw materials needed to manufacture them. But can global mining and battery cell production capacities meet the rapidly growing demand? A new study from the International Council on Clean Transportation explores this question, analyzing the projected demand and supply capacities for batteries and key battery minerals.
