Rohan Patel
Advisor

Rohan Patel has been a leader in the government, non-profit and corporate sectors over his career. Most recently Rohan was the Vice President of global public policy and business development at Tesla, where he served on the executive leadership team reporting to the CEO. Mr. Patel oversaw regulatory, policy, site selection and business development efforts for Tesla. Previously, he was special assistant to President Barack Obama and senior advisor for climate and energy policy, where he worked on a range of power sector and transportation policies in addition to being President Obama’s liaison with state and local government officials. Rohan also served as associate director at the White House Council on Environmental Quality and as a senior advisor to Secretary Tom Vilsack at the US Department of Agriculture overseeing climate change and conservation issues. Prior to his appointment, he spent two years on the Obama presidential campaign and has also served on the staffs of Iowa Governor Chet Culver and Indiana US Senator Evan Bayh. Rohan lives in Kensington, Maryland with his wife and two daughters and is an advisor and board member of a number of global and local non-profit organizations and companies tackling decarbonization.
