Valerie Sheckler has held creative positions at a variety of organizations over the years. She worked for a major sports team in Baltimore, a supply optimization company in Rockville, and an international aid organization in Baltimore. Before joining the ICCT in 2023, she worked as an independent graphic design consultant from 2004 to 2023. She has an educational background in philosophy, art history and English literature. She is interested in urban planning, data visualization, social justice. An earnest gardener, she believes that choosing native plants for our gardens contributes to protecting and improving the health and integrity of our environment.
