Soot-free and zero-emission urban bus fleets technology transition curriculum

(Versión en español aquí.)

This curriculum introduces key concepts and ideas relevant to fleet-wide technology transitions to soot-free and zero-emission buses. The overarching goal is to build capacity for local bus operators and transit authorities, in addition to sharing best practices and helping facilitate the growth of a global community of bus fleet operators and transit authorities. The presentations are targeted at transit authorities and operators who plan on making a bus purchase decision. Additionally, this curriculum will share knowledge and key messages with city officials who have the decision-making power to design and implement transit policies. Those that can benefit from this curriculum include non-government organizations, research, and academic institutions, as well as other groups and stakeholders with an interest in soot-free and low-carbon urban bus fleet technology transitions. The curriculum will cover approximately 10 modules, gradually rolled out and uploaded to the ICCT’s YouTube channel. Each module incorporates best practices from transit operators worldwide, and ICCT’s tools and methodologies.
