Marcel Martin is the ICCT’s Managing Director for Brazil. He is based in São Paulo and has over 17 years of experience in climate changes, transportation, urban development. Prior to joining ICCT, Marcel was Program Officer at iCS – Institute for Climate and Society coordinating the transport portfolio focus to promote low-carbon mobility; as well as exploring the interfaces between air quality and health with transport policies and technologies. Before that Marcel coordinated at IEMA – Energy and Environment Institute Brazil Low Carbon Urban Mobility Program, resulting from the partnership between the Ministry of Cities and the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB). Marcel also has experience in the private sector in the coordination of large projects in urban planning, transport, and mobility with multidisciplinary teams. Marcel Graduated in Architecture and Urbanism from the University of São Paulo (USP) and a master’s degree in Land Planning and Management from the Federal University of ABC (UFABC).
