Life-cycle greenhouse gas emissions of combustion engine and electric passenger cars and two-wheelers in India
This webinar will review our new life-cycle assessment (LCA) of the greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions of today’s and future passenger cars in India. It compares gasoline, diesel, and natural gas internal combustion engine vehicles (ICEVs) with battery electric vehicles (BEVs) and fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEVs). Thereby, the assessment considers a variety of fuel types and power sources including biofuels, e-fuels, various hydrogen pathways, and electricity. The findings for India are compared to passenger cars in Europe, China, and the United States. Additionally, based on other recent ICCT analysis, the webinar will present the life-cycle GHG emissions of conventional and electric two-wheelers in India.
