A fiscal incentive program to produce sustainable aviation fuel from used cooking oil in Indonesia
Fuels
Decarbonizing the transportation sector will require that liquid or gaseous fuels powering vehicles be produced in a low-carbon or carbon-neutral way. Low-carbon energy sources should be implemented in parallel with the deployment of zero-emissions and advanced vehicle technologies. Sustainable biofuels could play a big role in meeting 2050 targets. ICCT researchers identify those fuels that offer the greatest carbon reductions and recommend policies to encourage their production.
