Mexico is a major global vehicle market in its own right and the sixth-largest auto manufacturing nation in the world, reflecting extensive integration with the American vehicle industry. The ICCT works closely in Mexico with the regulatory body charged with setting vehicle emission standards and with the national ecological institute, which provides technical analysis on environmental policy issues.
