A comparison of the life-cycle GHG of ICEVs and EVs in India

This webinar reviewed our new life-cycle assessment (LCA) of the greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions of today’s and future passenger cars in India. It compared gasoline, diesel, and natural gas internal combustion engine vehicles (ICEVs) with battery electric vehicles (BEVs) and fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEVs). Thereby, the assessment considered a variety of fuel types and power sources including biofuels, e-fuels, various hydrogen pathways, and electricity. The findings for India were compared to passenger cars in Europe, China, and the United States. Additionally, based on other recent ICCT analysis, the webinar presented the life-cycle GHG emissions of conventional and electric two-wheelers in India.
