CCAC Green Freight Call to Action

The High Level Assembly of the Climate and Clean Air Coalition to Reduce Short-Lived Climate Pollutants (CCAC) met in Warsaw on November 21, one of the events during the recently concluded COP19. Among other actions, the Assembly launched CCAC’s Green Freight Call to Action [.pdf], a year-long endeavor to bring together countries and companies around the world to put in place common-sense strategies to reduce energy use and black carbon emissions from heavy-duty freight around the world.

The Global Green Freight project is one of the activities under CCAC’s Heavy Duty Diesel Vehicle Initiative. The ICCT, which is a non-state partner in the CCAC, is a co-lead on that initiative.

The CCAC released the statement below following the Assembly.
