Electromobility applied to public transit buses: Challenges, benefits, and opportunities

The Brazilian Ministry of Cities, Ministry of Industry and Foreign Commerce and Services, and GIZ jointly organized this workshop to strengthen knowledge, improve technical capacity, and establish new connections among experts to share experiences and solutions in electromobility in cities. Held in the Brazilian capital, Brasília, on 11 May 2018, ICCT Clean Air Program Lead Ray Minjares shared the international experience with zero emission electric buses and ICCT Researcher Tim Dallmann presented preliminary analysis of a technology procurement pathway for fossil fuel free CO2 emissions in the public transit fleet of São Paulo.
