Real-world performance of electric vehicles in China – Energy consumption, range, and charging patterns

Electric vehicle technologies have great potential to reduce the air pollutant and greenhouse gas emissions from motor vehicles. One of the consumer concerns about electric vehicles was that their range on the road was less than that indicated by the nominal values. For a wider adoption of electric vehicles, it is important to understand this gap and address it.

This webinar provides an overview of the real-world performance, including energy consumption, range, and charging pattern of battery electric passenger cars and heavy-duty vehicles in China based on a large set of real-world data. It also highlights opportunities for policymakers to narrow this gap and boost consumer confidence.
