Briefing

Reducing emissions from passenger cars in Turkey

Europe

This invitation-only event, hosted jointly by the International Council on Clean Transportation and the German Embassy, will present an overview of the current structure and emission levels of the passenger car market in Turkey and will explore policy options that could help to increase the share of vehicles with low emission levels, including but not only electric vehicles. The focus will be on reducing fuel consumption and carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions but also air pollutant emissions, such as nitrogen oxide (NOx) will be looked at. A particular focus will be on how the current situation and future opportunities in Turkey compare to other countries and especially Germany. Following a series of impulse presentations, ample time will be provided for a discussion among participants, including government and industry representatives.

Simultaneous interpretation will be provided (English-Turkish).
