Senior Researcher
Hussein Basma is a Senior Researcher in the Heavy-duty Vehicles Program at ICCT. Hussein’s areas of expertise cover alternative vehicle technologies to tackle the environmental burden of the transport sector worldwide, focusing on electric, hybrid, and hydrogen truck and bus technologies. Hussein holds a Ph.D. in Energy and Electric Mobility from Mines ParisTech (France) where he worked on the deployment of electric bus fleets in Paris. Hussein also holds a Master in Powertrain Engineering from IFP School (France) and a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from the Lebanese American University (Lebanon).
