Carlos Bueno is a research consultant for the Heavy-Duty Vehicles Program team at ICCT, supporting the Zero Emission Bus Rapid-Deployment Accelerator (ZEBRA) project. He has more than 15 years of experience in both the planning and operation of public transport systems in Latin America. Before joining ICCT, Carlos worked as Head of Research and Analysis at Metbus S.A., participating in the design and implementation of the electromobility strategy for the public transportation system of Santiago, Chile, and as a consultant for the Electromobility Platform of the Inter-American Development Bank. He holds Ph.D. and M.Sc. degrees in Transport Engineering and Logistics from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, and a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Universidad Industrial de Santander.
