Hussein Basma is an Associate Researcher in the Heavy-duty Vehicles Program at ICCT. Hussein’s research focuses on the development of local and regional policies to tackle the environmental burden of commercial trucks and buses by conducting high-quality quantitative research. Hussein holds a Ph.D. in Energy and Electric Mobility from Mines ParisTech (France) where he worked on developing energy management strategies to facilitate the deployment of electric bus fleets in Paris. Hussein also holds a Master in Powertrain Engineering from IFP School (France), and a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from the Lebanese American University (Lebanon).
