Going soot-free in Latin America

While Latin America is home to the largest and fastest growing electric bus fleets outside of China, only 3 countries in the region––Mexico, Brazil, and Colombia––have adopted Euro VI / EPA 2010 standards at a national level. While cities have helped push standards forward, national standards should be implemented across the region without further delay. Clean diesel vehicles are commercially available and cost-effective, and should be supported alongside electrification.
