Before joining the ICCT, Jan worked in the field of emission reduction technology for diesel-powered light and heavy-duty vehicles for 11 years. During that time he had the opportunity to work in all 3 major sectors of the automotive industry, i.e. at an OEM/manufacturer, a Tier-1-supplier and an engineering service provider/consultancy. Jan studied at the RWTH Aachen University and holds a diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
